Clarence Monroe Wooden, 90, of Rossville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga & North Georgia areas and was a member of South Rossville Baptist Church, where he also taught Sunday school for more than 20 years. He retired from C. D. Genters in Chattanooga after more than 15 years of service as a supervisor and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roe & Belle Wooden; wife, Frances Hughes Wooden; brother-in-law, Joe Mathis and close friend, Verneena Gibbons.

Survivors include his sister, Martha Mathis of Chattanooga, TN; niece, Connie Mathis; true "Buds" for life and the man he helped raise, David & (Beth) Perry of Rossville, GA; and numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2015 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Jeff Daniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
