Roberta Woodall Boyd, 102, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 1, 2015.

She was born in Marshall County, Alabama to the late, Conrad Columbus Woodall, Sr. and Lillie Mae Melton Woodall, and had lived in the Chattanooga & North Georgia areas for most of her life, as well as West Palm Beach, Florida for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Rossville Church of Christ and enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and working with her flowers. She was previously employed with Combustion Engineering, Wheland Foundry as well as the Children's Hospital in Chattanooga as a Nurse for many years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great-grandmother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe W. Boyd; daughter, Martha McWhorter; grandson, William McGarity; brother, Conrad Woodall, Jr. and two sisters, Erma Hamilton and Omega McCora.

Survivors include her daughters & son-in-law, Alene & (Sydney) O'Connor of St. Augustine, FL; Patsy Williams of Rossville, GA and Betty McGarity of Atlanta, GA; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2015 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Minister Jack James & Minister Jerry Weldon officiating. Burial will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. Sunday and prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
