Imogene Scruggs Weaver Obituary


Imogene Scruggs Weaver, 83, of Ringgold, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 13, 2013. She had lived in the North Georgia area for most of her life and was a member of West Park Baptist Church. She absolutely adored children and was Granny to everyone she met. She enjoyed life, spending time with her family, as well as fishing, gardening, attending church and going to the beach. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Weaver; great grandson, Ryan Campbell and several siblings.

Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, Roy Dale & (Kristy) Scruggs of Ringgold, GA; chosen daughter in her heart & husband, Kay & (Gary) Magin of Rossville, GA; brothers & sister-in-law, Frank & (Sarah) Williams and Robert Williams all of Rising Fawn, GA; grandchildren, Misty Scruggs, Jereme Scruggs, Joey Scruggs, Jonathan Scruggs, Chanel & (Andy) Touchstone, Angel Dobbins, Lee & (Carrie) Sutton, DeAnna & (David) Caronna, Brandon & (Brittany) Callahan, Shane Magin and Gary Magin; several great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. David Taylor officiating. Burial will be Tuesday, January 22, at 1 p.m. in Hanna Cemetery in Rising Fawn, GA. The family will begin receiving friends after 2 p.m. Monday and prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga for their care and concern for Mrs. Weaver. Arrangements by W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe, GA.
