Wanda Louise DeBord, 64, of Chattanooga went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 4, 2014. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas and was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who took great pride in helping raise and care for her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred & Dorothy Crowder; husband, Arlin DeBord; brother, Lynn Crowder and two granddaughters, Heather Standridge & Haley Murphy.
Survivors include her children, Kenny Guffey of Ringgold, GA, Tammy Murphy, Scott Guffey, George DeBord, Jr., Joseph DeBord all of Chattanooga, TN, Tena Battles & Tony Parton both of LaFayette, GA; brother, Richard Crowder; two sisters, Linda Griffin and Frieda Clark all of Rossville, GA; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; special friend, Tonya George and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Bro. Michael Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Point Cemetery in Noble, GA. The family will begin receiving friends after 4 p.m. Thursday and prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements by W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe, GA.
